I've had an idea for sometime that I would like to put to you. I appreciate
you may be too busy or have other projects that take up your time but I'm
hoping that this may appeal to you or perhaps to someone you know.
I don't need to discuss my track record with you on Abuse so I'll jump
straight to it!!
'Tree of Hope' is something I have thought about for a long time and I
finally managed to speak to my local council and they are considering the
idea.
The Tree is a place where anyone suffering Abuse or Abuse Victims and their
families can go to express whatever they need to. My idea is just either a
simple ribbon (Don't know what Colour, but I thought Multi as abuse has no
colour discrimination) or a card message that could be tied simply to the
branches to say they have visited. It's a freedom Tree People, just somewhere to
go, gather your thoughts and let your voice be heard. Its a symbolic gesture,
but I'm hoping that it would raise awareness and if a dedicated tree was
offered all over the UK then what an impact it would have.
Sufferers can remain anonymous or just leave a message of hope!
Look, its a long shot, but a good idea and excuse the pun, but from little
acorns etc etc.
I'd love your thoughts if you have the time. I haven't shared this with
anyone else.
